Ryan Albano

CBC Representative

Ryan Albano is a Junior majoring in Accounting, with two exciting internships on the horizon; one in a Financial Leadership Program (FLP) and another in a Rotational Accounting Program for Audit and Tax. His ultimate goal is to acquire a master’s degree and CPA by 2026. He is originally born and raised in Chicago, but moved out to San Diego. Outside of his academic pursuits, he lives an active lifestyle which consists of working out, outdoor activities, surfing, snowboarding, and sports.

Alexandra is a senior majoring in accounting and has been an active member of ALPFA for two semesters. Originally from Mexicali, she transferred to SDSU from Imperial Valley College. Alexandra is bilingual, fluent in both Spanish and English. She enjoys playing video games and traveling. She interned with LLME this past busy season, gaining valuable experience in the field.

Demmy, a proud bilingual Latina and first-generation college student, is currently a junior majoring in Business Accountancy. She enjoys hiking and spending time at the beach. Her future goal is to achieve her CPA certification.

Gabriel is a Senior majoring in accounting. He was born in San Diego and has lived in San Diego for 18 years. He has completed two internships with Ernst & Young where he will start as a full-time audit associate next year. He enjoys going to the gym, ice skating, playing pool, and go to car shows.

Sebastian Maya

VP of Membership

Sebastian is a Masters of Accounting (MSA) Financial Reporting Grad Student working towards CPA eligibility and certification. After being an active member for a semester, Sebastian is excited to work with ALPFA and help new students discover accounting. Additionally, he is starting an Audit Internship in Summer of 2025. Sebastian holds a BA of Communications from University of California, Santa Barbara with High Honors.

Pedro Garcia

VP of Marketing

Pedro is a senior majoring in Accounting and a proud first-generation Mexican. He is passionate about outdoor activities and sports, particularly hiking and soccer, and he also enjoys video games during his downtime. Pedro is excited to begin his career as an incoming Tax Intern at CBIZ.

Saimaiti Ailixieer

VP of Relations

Saimaiti Ailixieer is a Master of Accounting Information Systems major who currently works as a Teaching Assistant in the Business Department and a Graduate Research Assistant in the Housing Department at San Diego State University. This spring (2025), Saimaiti will also begin a tax internship at a CPA and law firm. The ultimate goal is to complete the Master’s degree and CPA exam by 2026. Originally born and raised in China, Saimaiti has been living in San Diego for seven years. Beyond academic endeavors, Saimaiti enjoys surfing, skiing, fitness, and outdoor sports.

Nahomi Feredony

Nahomi is a senior majoring in Information Systems and a proud first-generation student. She is passionate about her small business as a hairstylist, hiking, and fishing. Nahomi is excited for her senior year and is looking forward to begin her career as an information system analyst intern.

Director of Social Activities

Jorge Hernandez is a Junior majoring in Business Administration. He was born in San
Francisco, California and has recently moved to San Diego to attend University. He has
successfully completed two internships with Ernst & Young and is happily returning as a
Technology Risk Consulting intern in the Summer of 2025. He is a proud descendent of a
large family originating from Los Altos de Jalisco in Mexico which just so happens to be his
favorite vacation spot. Jorge enjoys studying, staying active, and being creative. He stands
firm to his conviction of achieving a brighter future!

Director of Professional Relations

Isaiah is a senior majoring in accounting. He has spent one semester in ALPFA and is currently a lead board member for Meet The Firms. In his spare time, Isaiah enjoys surfing and lifting weights.

Director of Marketing

Walid (wah-lee-d) is a junior majoring in accounting, planning to intern in Tax. His hobbies are mainly reading (fiction) and watching shows. Walid speaks Arabic and English, and has lived overseas for half his life.

ALPFA Advisor

Pablo Machado

Mr. Machado is a professor at SDSU, especially for Intermediate Accounting II (ACCTG 334). He previously worked in the assurance practice of the Denver office of PwC. An interesting fact about Professor Machado is that he is experienced on Tae Kwon Do.
